By the end of the war, Higgins Industries produced in total more than 20 thousands of LCVP. These small boats were called Higgins boats. They were used for landing of troops in the Mediterranean, in France, on Iwo Jima, Okinawa and other Pacific islands. With Higgins boats to different shores more US Marines were delivered, than with all the other amphibious ships together.
Building the model
Hi everyone!!! I submit to your judgment my second model of a commando. The model was being assembled with a bang !! I needed almost no putty. I used Tamia aero acrylic as paint, the cleaner was oil. But I couldnt win over the details, they shine even after several layers of matte varnish .. (I had to redo almost all the figures. I know there are many jays !! Im also sorry for the photos .. dont judge me strictly …)
